Week 11 picks
Last week: 7-7
Season record: 7-7
Season record: 7-7
Okay so this was my first attempt at picking games this season, and it went about as I expected--mediocre. In my defense, it's been a weird season so far--I'm sure that exactly zero pundits picked the Commanders over the Eagles. Or the Jets over the Bills the week prior. But hey, let's get to it for Week 11!
Tennessee at Green Bay--I live two hours and change south of Green Bay, and it's been snowing here a good part of the day.....so as I usually do, regardless of any other factor, I am picking the team from the south to lose. Packers 26, Titans 23
Chicago at Atlanta--So much mediocrity, so little time. Falcons 22, Bears 21
Carolina at Baltimore--I don't know who the starting QB is for Carolina week to week, and I don't think they know either. Ravens 30, Panthers 13
Cleveland at Buffalo--There are now BLIZZARD warnings for Sunday in Buffalo, so the NFL is looking for an alternate venue for this game. I'd love to see it moved to an indoor arena....Josh Allen in the role of Kurt Warner might throw 15 TDs in one game. Bills 34, Browns 17
Washington at Houston--Ladies and gentlemen, your last place 5-5 Commanders. Two years ago at this time, the Giants were leading the NFC East with a 3-7 record. I like this look better for the division. Commanders 21, Texans 19
Philadelphia at Indianapolis--Now that the Eagles got their first loss out of the way, I sure would love it if they got their second one this week. But they won't. Eagles 31, Colts 20
NY Jets at New England--I really thought the Jets had turned a corner before hosting the Pats last month. Not only did they not turn the corner, but they got their fans' hopes up again by beating Buffalo the following week. So you know how this one will go, right? Patriots 27, Jets 24
LA Rams at New Orleans--It's truly shocking how bad the Rams look. But then again, the way rosters turn over every couple of years, maybe not so shocking. Saints 23, Rams 20
Detroit at NY Giants--Last week against Houston was a trap game for the Giants, who almost fell right into said trap. Will they survive a second straight trap game? Giants 22, Lions 19
Las Vegas at Denver--Were there seriously calls this week for the Raiders to bring back Jon Gruden? Broncos 16, Raiders 13
Dallas at Minnesota--The Cowboys have so much talent and yet when you watch them you just know Mike McCarthy is destined to drive them off a cliff. Vikings 31, Cowboys 27
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh--This matchup doesn't have the same appeal as it did even a year ago. Bengals 21, Steelers 20
Kansas City vs. LA Chargers at Mexico--With each team having to dress, what, 53 players for the game? The odds have to be better than 50/50 that one or more players will have eaten some spicy as fuck Mexican food and will have a visit on the field from Senor Diarrhea. Chiefs 34, Chargers 28
San Francisco at Arizona--Right now the NFC East and AFC East do not have a single team with a losing record. Meanwhile, the NFC West and AFC West are kind of messy by comparison, at least compared to what was expected. So why in the hell are these teams seemingly always on Sunday and Monday nights? Niners 26, Cards 19
