Conference title game picks

Last week: 4-0 Season record: 168-98 So, suddenly we only have three games left in the 2020-21 season.  Just like the holidays, there is so much hype to the NFL late season playoff push and playoffs, and then we blink and they are in the rear view mirror.  But hey, we have one of the best conference championship Sundays I can remember.  There is a Tom Brady sighting but not a Patriots team sighting.  So let's do this! Tampa Bay at Green Bay --The first thing I did was check the weather and saw this .  Normally I would say a team from the south has no chance in a snow game at Lambeau Field.  But it looks like the snow will have stopped falling by game time, and Tom Brady played in Foxboro for 20 years.  And holy shit, we have the first-ever matchup between Brady and Aaron Rodgers in the postseason, and it's for the right to go to the Super Bowl.  These teams are pretty evenly matched, and as good as Brady has been playing, Rodgers is probably going...

Divisional round picks

Last week: 4-2 Season record: 164-98 What a weekend of football in the wild card round.  Not only was it wall to wall games from noon central on Saturday until late Sunday night, but every game was exciting in one way or another.  There was a lot of retirement talk when it came to Drew Brees and Philip Rivers, as meanwhile Tom Brady keeps looking no different than at any time during his career--while he will be 44 when the 2021 season kicks off in September.  We saw Taylor Heinicke (!) spark the WFT to put the fear of God in Brady, and then we saw the Browns exorcise 18 year old demons by jumping all over the Steelers early and hanging on for dear life.   So now we head to the divisional round, aka the best football weekend of the year.  Of course, now that there are six games in the wild card weekend, these two rounds are equally exciting.  With that, let's pick these games..... LA Rams at Green Bay --We hear a lot about the Rams defense, and what we ...

Super Wild Card Weekend picks

Last week: 11-5 Season record: 160-96 Holy crap, what a weekend we have in store.  I hope this is the only year they call it "Super" Wild Card Weekend, but we'll see.  Still, six games is better than four.  We don't have to wait until 4:30pm EST for the first Saturday game....it's all 1pm EST and into the night with three games on each day.  So with that, let's get to it.... Indianapolis at Buffalo --Last year the Bills were a feel-good story.  This year they are the 2-seed and a fucking offensive juggernaut.  The Colts do not suck, but Josh Allen's Bills are just going to roll over them.  Bills 31, Colts 24 LA Rams at Seattle --This Rams team has looked Super Bowl worthy and Top 5 draft pick worthy in the same season.  Jared Goff is not Tom Brady, but John Wolford has one NFL start under his belt and quite possibly will start this game.  Oh and Isaac Bruce... ouch , but he's not wrong.  Meanwhile, there is a QB in Seattle who will be ch...
