Week 17 picks

Last week: 12-4
Season record: 69-34-1

Things are getting interesting and exciting and, in some ways, absolutely riveting.  This is when the NFL is must-see TV, vying for playoff berths and positioning.  And at the moment, there are so many teams that are still alive for the postseason, it's even more intriguing.  So let's go.....

Dallas at Tennessee--Did anyone else happen to get the license plate of the suck truck that blindsided the Titans over a month ago?  I didn't realize they had lost five in a row until literally just now.  Make that six.  Cowboys 41, Titans 17

Arizona at Atlanta--All this matchup makes we wanna do is yawn.  A lot.  Falcons 20, Cards 16

Chicago at Detroit--The Bears have an outside shot at the #1 overall pick, and of all teams it's the Lions that can help them with that.  Lions 31, Bears 23

Jacksonville at Houston--The division leaders in each South division have losing records at 7-8.  Which begs the question, would anyone care if all eight teams were sent off to start their own league?  Jags 23, Texans 20

Denver at Kansas City--Nathaniel Hackett was shown to be a terrible head coach, but you could argue that he wasn't helped by Russell Wilson coming to town to do his very own Ryan Leaf impression.  Chiefs 34, Broncos 13

Miami at New England--The Dolphins' schedule has not been kind to them, but their postseason hopes took a huge blow with each interception Tua threw in the last few minutes of that Christmas Day shit show.  Patriots 21, Dolphins 19

Indianapolis at NY Giants--My G-men need one win to reach the postseason in what has been an improbable season for them.  The fact that they are heavily favored in this one is making me really nervous, though.  Giants 23, Colts 20

New Orleans at Philadelphia--Lane Johnson being out for the remainder of the season is a huge blow to Philly's title hopes, but there is just too much talent on the roster otherwise.  Grrrrr.  Eagles 28, Saints 10

Carolina at Tampa Bay--The Panthers.  The Panthers can take over first place in the NFC South with a win and somehow Steve Wilks has them playing way over their heads, a bit like Brian Dabolll with the Giants.  But Tom Brady should not be bet against this time of year.  Bucs 24, Panthers 22

Cleveland at Washington--It's hard to imagine DeShaun Watson ever returning to his old form.  Commanders 20, Browns 12

San Francisco at Las Vegas--If Brock Purdy leads this very talented, clicking-on-all-cylinders Niners team to a Super Bowl win, there will be a Disney movie made about him.  Niners 27, Raiders 24

NY Jets at Seattle--This is like one of those consolation bowl games in college football, between two teams that showed so much promise but faded quickly down the stretch.  Seahawks 19, Jets 17

Minnesota at Green Bay--The way people talk about the Vikings, they have to be the worst 12-3 team in the history of sports.  Packers 27, Vikings 26

LA Rams at LA Chargers--The 2022 version of this matchup is a huge disappointment.  Chargers 30, Rams 17

Pittsburgh at Baltimore--The 2022 version of this matchup is also a huge disappointment.  And exactly how have the Ravens won 10 games?  Ravens 25, Steelers 20

Buffalo at Cincinnati--This could be the best (and possibly only decent) Monday Night Football contest of the season.  Bills 34, Bengals 31
