Week 18 picks

Last week: 13-3
Season record: 150-106-1

Not to too my own horn here or anything but I must say that in addition to having a great week picking the games, I picked one score exactly right (Bengals 34, Chiefs 31) and three others very close (Niners 22, Texans 9....the actual was 23-7)....(Bears 23, Giants 6....the actual was 29-3)....(Saints 20, Panthers 10...the actual was 18-10).  But wait there's more.  I picked the exact point totals for two more teams, Denver (13) and Las Vegas (23).  All of which means I fully expect to shit the bed this week.  So let's get to it!

Kansas City at Denver--While it's highly unlikely the Titans lose to Houston, the best KC can hope for is to stay at the #2 seed.  Which means they need this game, and they are playing too well to make you believe otherwise.  Chiefs 27, Broncos 16

Dallas at Philadelphia--This is a must see TV division game on Saturday night, but both teams are already in the playoffs.  This is a battle for seeding and for playing mind games on the other team.  I'm not sure where "mind games" just came from, but there it is.  Cowboys 33, Eagles 22

Cincinnati at Cleveland--It's such a bummer that the Browns, who showed so much promise a year ago, have failed to qualify this time.  Meanwhile their neighbors to the south are poised to dominate the AFC for years to come with Burrow and Chase.  Bengals 35, Browns 14

Green Bay at Detroit--The Packers have the 1-seed and the knowledge that the NFC title has to go through Green Bay, again.  If it comes down to Rodgers vs. Brady again, I'd be inclined to pick the Pack this time.  However, they are not playing the Bucs Sunday.  Packers 31, Lions 17

Chicago at Minnesota--Both teams are out so who really cares?  Actually I do....I need the Bears to lose to strengthen the Giants' draft position with that pick they gave us last year for Justin Fields.  Bears 20, Vikings 17

Washington at NY Giants--Same applies here.  The Giants really need to lose this game, so of course they won't.  Giants 16, WFT 13

Indianapolis at Jacksonville--Jonathan Taylor is going to rush for like 250 yards and take the MVP title along with his performance.  Colts 30, Jags 10

Pittsburgh at Baltimore--Okay so this one is intriguing only because both teams are hanging by a thread, but keep in mind the Steelers have a better chance only because they managed to tie the fucking Lions.  But both need the Jags to upset the Colts.  So make your tee times, fellas.  Ravens 26, Steelers 23

Tennessee at Houston--I don't think I've heard Mike Vrabel's name for coach of the year or for the Titans as a potential Super Bowl contender.  But they have the 1-seed and will not surrender it by losing in Houston with Derrick Henry returning.  Titans 34, Texans 17

New Orleans at Atlanta--The Saints are the only bubble team in the NFC but I like their chances.  They need to beat the Falcons and have the Rams beat the Niners.  Except that, who is their QB?  Falcons 19, Saints 17

NY Jets at Buffalo--The Bills have the 4-seed and can allow the Patriots to steal the division if they blow this.  They won't.  Bills 29, Jets 13

San Francisco at LA Rams--The Niners need to win or hope the Falcons beat the Saints.  The Rams are the 2-seed and want no part of dropping down.  Oof this is a tough one.  Rams 24, Niners 23

New England at Miami--Raise your hand if you expected the Patriots to possibly win 11 games this year.  That's what I thought.  Patriots 23, Dolphins 16

Seattle at Arizona--This has that upset feel, doesn't it?  But I won't take the bait.  Cards 35, Seahawks 20

Carolina at Tampa Bay--At some point it's gonna come down to Bucs vs. Packers, right?  Bucs 38, Panthers 10

LA Chargers at Las Vegas--This game is basically for a playoff berth.  So basically, it IS a playoff game.  Get your popcorn ready!  Raiders 24, Chargers 22
