Week 16 picks
Last week: 9-7
Season record: 127-97-1
Okay so are we going to have more Tuesday games next week? I doubt it, because the NFL changed its Covid protocols on the fly last week to account for the Omicron virus which is more contagious but less destructive/deadly. Or something. All I know is we have games on Christmas which never sucks. So let's get to it......
San Francisco at Tennessee--For a while there we were wallowing in week to week shitty match ups. Suddenly that has changed and we are now blessed with great games this week, including this one of two strong contenders. Niners 23, Titans 21
Cleveland at Green Bay--Great game on Christmas but the Browns are a mess right now. Hopefully some of their starters clear covid protocol but they still won't beat this scorching Green Bay team in Green Bay. Packers 27, Browns 13
Indianapolis at Arizona--Another great matchup on Christmas day.....I don't know what to make of the Cards now after they got shellacked by the Lions. Aberration? Is Kyler still hurt? The Colts are on fire, so of course they will lose right? Cards 27, Colts 24
Detroit at Atlanta--Can the Lions make it 3 out of 4? I hope so, as I need the Giants to leap over them in the tank standings. Falcons 24, Lions 23
Baltimore at Cincinnati--I don't understand why John Harbaugh isn't being crucified for losing another game by going for 2 rather than kicking an extra point to reach overtime. I like being aggressive but yikes. Bengals 26, Ravens 21
LA Rams at Minnesota--The Vikings are the 7 seed so I look for them to lose a game with a missed kick here to as usual kick their fans in the crotch. Rams 28, Vikings 26
Buffalo at New England--Did anyone see the Pats having a real shot to win the division before the season or even a few games in? I didn't but this game is crucial for both teams. Patriots 27, Bills 20
Jacksonville at NY Jets--I don't see the Jags losing their grip on the top pick now that they are in position. Jets 21, Jags 17
NY Giants at Philadelphia--I really think the Giants can beat the Eagles again if Jake Fromm starts. If Mike Glennon starts over him, Joe Judge is punching his ticket to the unemployment line. Eagles 26, Giants 23
Tampa Bay at Carolina--Tom Brady will need to put up big numbers to erase the stink of being shut out by the Saints. Bucs 35, Panthers 17
LA Chargers at Houston--This Chargers team could really surprise in the postseason. Chargers 28, Texans 16
Chicago at Seattle--Memo to my Giants: Please do not trade for Russell Wilson. I think he's suddenly no longer a top 10 QB. Seahawks 24, Bears 13
Pittsburgh at Kansas City--The Chiefs are rounding into form after a midseason slump. Watch out. Chiefs 34, Steelers 27
Denver at Las Vegas--This is suddenly a killer game as both teams are on the playoff bubble. Raiders 17, Broncos 16
Washington at Dallas--I'd be very afraid of facing this Dallas team in January. Cowboys 31, WFT 20
Miami at New Orleans--Suddenly Miami is the hottest team in the league after starting 1-7. But the Saints kept Tom Brady off the scoreboard last weekend. Saints 20, Dolphins 16
