Week 6 2021 picks
Last week: 11-5
Season record 51-29
Season record 51-29
Now we're cooking with gas. No, literally my wife and I picked up three propane tanks last weekend and I'll be grilling up until the deck is covered in snow. But I digress. The NFL slate has not disappointed this season, well except for the Giants, Jets and Jags and the hype leading up to Brady vs. Pats. But the games have been riveting with some insane quarterback play, playmakers making plays and kickers being kickers. Anyway I will stop digressing and give you the picks you came here for.....
Tampa Bay at Philadelphia--This Giants fan wants to see Brady feast on Eagle defenders tonight. I'd also like to see JPP, Suh and Vita Vea feast on Jalen Hurts. Bucs 31, Eagles 20
Miami at Jacksonville--Two teams with a combined record of 1-9. I think I'd prefer to watch CSPAN. Jags 22, Dolphins 20
Green Bay at Chicago--The Bears always seem to overachieve or underachieve from game to game, and are maddening to predict. Let's just hope this game doesn't come down to the kickers. Bears 24, Packers 21
Cincinnati at Detroit--I never heard exactly why the Lions traded Matt Stafford for Jared Goff. Because it wasn't to make the Lions better. Bengals 23, Lions 17
Houston at Indianapolis--CSPAN has more than one channel right? Colts 28, Texans 17
LA Rams at NY Giants--I sure hope Daniel Jones doesn't play Sunday, because a) the Giants have no shot to win this game and b) one hit from Aaron Donald would not help a concussion. Rams 41, Giants 10
Kansas City at Washington--At least the Chiefs can watch the Raiders free fall now. But the Chargers will likely relegate KC to a wild card spot. Chiefs 26, WFT 20
Minnesota at Carolina--This game is the one most likely to end in a tie this week. Where kickers go 0 for 4 in OT. Or not. Panthers 23, Vikings 19
LA Chargers at Baltimore--Justin Herbert vs. Lamar Jackson. Get your popcorn ready, the biggest vat of it you can find or make. Chargers 31, Ravens 29
Arizona at Cleveland--Wow, the schedule gods have not been kind to the Browns. But they are about to hand Kyler and company their first loss of the season. Browns 24, Cards 23
Las Vegas at Denver--A week ago at this time we had no idea Jon Gruden would be forced to resign a few days later. Yikes. Broncos 17, Raiders 13
Dallas at New England--Man, if Dallas doesn't run away with the NFC East this year....never mind, they're not going to not run away with it. Cowboys 30, Patriots 17
Seattle at Pittsburgh--A rematch of Super Bowl 40, which was 16 years ago. And the Steelers are still starting the QB who won that game. Was Jim Zorn the Seahawks QB? Steelers 22, Seahawks 13
Buffalo at Tennessee--There will be no Music City Miracles in this one. Bills 38, Titans 17
On bye this week: Atlanta, NY Jets, New Orleans, San Francisco
