Week 4 2021 picks

Last week: 11-5
Season record: 28-20

Okay now that we have the anything goes portion of the schedule over or just about over, we can predict what will happen each week with a bit more consistency.  Otherwise I'd just be some schmuck with a shitty picks blog.  Oh wait...never mind!

Jacksonville at Cincinnati--The Bengals came alive last weekend, stunning the Steelers in Pittsburgh.  I feel bad for future USC coach Urban Meyer, but I am hoping Trevor Lawrence throws a couple of TDs to my fantasy defense tonight.  Bengals 30, Jags 17

Washington at Atlanta--I heard the other day that Chase Young has zero sacks through three games.  Not only that, but the WFT gave up 43 points in Buffalo.  What happened to that vaunted defense?  WFT 20, Falcons 17

Houston at Buffalo--When you know you're old part 1.  Houston vs. Buffalo made my mind go to that playoff game between the Bills and the Houston OILERS in 1993.  The Bills came back from 35-3 to win 41-38 behind Frank Reich.  And now you can all get off my lawn!  Bills 38, Texans 10

Detroit at Chicago--Wait, it's not Thanksgiving yet right?  Bears 24, Lions 13

Carolina at Dallas--Good lord, Dallas looks good.  I am not happy about this development.  Cowboys 34, Panthers 27

Indianapolis at Miami--If the Colts were going to get one in the win column, it would be here.  But I kinda like Brissett facing his former team.  Dolphins 22, Colts 20

Cleveland at Minnesota--When you know you're old part 2.  The first word I thought of when I saw this matchup was barnburner.  Baker and Kirk are going to turn this into a track meet, but before they do that they need to get off my lawn.  Browns 30, Vikings 27

NY Giants at New Orleans--I have picked against my Giants every game so far and they have rewarded me with correct picks each week.  I'm glad my team and I both know who we are.  Saints 27, Giants 20

Tennessee at NY Jets--This should be a big game from Corey Davis against his former team, however, um, Jets.  Titans 23, Jets 9

Kansas City at Philadelphia--I'm glad Andy Reid is okay after spending some time in the hospital after that home loss to the Chargers.  I do worry about big guys like that who have one of the highest stress job, even with a QB that stresses out opposing teams.  Chiefs 31, Eagles 27

Arizona at LA Rams--Wow, suddenly this is a huge game between two 3-0 teams.  When in doubt go with the home team, especially when Aaron Donald is on its defense.  Rams 35, Cards 33

Seattle at San Francisco--I feel like Russell Wilson will have a bounce back game for some reason.  But don't make any wagers based on my saying that, please.  Seahawks 26, Niners 24

Baltimore at Denver--When you know you're old part 3--you go into the kitchen, or the basement, or the garage, and you forget what you went in there for about 80% of the time.  And that's the guy who is picking these games?  Yikes.  Ravens 21, Broncos 18

Pittsburgh at Green Bay--I really don't mind seeing the Steelers decline right along with their old and brittle QB.  This does not seem to be the case for the QB they face Sunday.  Packers 26, Steelers 20

Tampa Bay at New England--We've all been looking forward to this one, although with Tom Brady winning a ring in his first year in Tampa and out of Foxboro, and the Pats flailing, it is not quite as intriguing.  Or is it?  Bucs 37, Pats 21

Las Vegas at LA Chargers--The West leading Raiders....how long can they keep this up for?  I know the answer--until Monday night.  Chargers 28, Raiders 24
