Week 2 2021 picks

Last week: 9-7
Season record: 9-7

So Week 1 is in the books, and it was a wild one.  There were some insane upsets and amazing performances and shitty performances.  And in the case of my G-men, a REAL shitty performance.  With that, let's see if we can improve on that 9-7 mark.....

NY Giants at Washington--So the WFC tanked, errrrrr, let the Giants win their Week 17 game to close out the 2019 season, which secured the #2 pick in the draft while the Giants wound up with the #4 pick.  Everyone knew the second pick would be Chase Young, and indeed he was and wound up having a historic, defensive rookie of the year season.  Tonight we get to see Young opposite that #4 pick, Giants LT Andrew Thomas.  This will not be pretty, and neither will it be watching Taylor Heinecke look like Joe Montana against our defense.  Wow, I'm bitter.  WFC 27, Giants 10

Cincinnati at Chicago--The outcome of this came will hinge solely on if and when Matt Nagy grows the stones to put Justin Fields in at QB.  Bengals 23, Bears 19

Houston at Cleveland--I'm still trying to figure out how DeShaun Watson managed to disguise himself as Tyrod Taylor last week.  Browns 34, Texans 23

LA Rams at Indianapolis--It's hilarious watching all these so-called experts say they didn't realize Matt Stafford was that talented.  It's almost like the Lions games (except on Thanksgiving) were only televised in Canada.  Rams 31, Lions 17

Buffalo at Miami--The Bills cannot afford to start 0-2, can they?  But Miami's stingy defense will have something to say about that in their home opener.  Dolphins 22, Bills 21

New England at NY Jets--I have a feeling Zach Wilson will officially arrive in the NFL Sunday.  Jets 21, Pats 19

San Francisco at Philadelphia--Everyone keeps saying how awful the Eagles are gonna be.  I wanna believe that, but so far I don't.  Eagles 28, Niners 26

Las Vegas at Pittsburgh--I still can't get used to calling them the Las Vegas Raiders.  It still feels very XFL.  Where is HeHateMe when you need him?  Steelers 27, Raiders 16

New Orleans at Carolina--The Saints with Jameis Winston can't really be that good, can they?  I'm not buying just yet.  Panthers 27, Saints 21

Denver at Jacksonville--Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence aren't used to losing, are they?  If last week carries over, they'd better get used to it quickly.  Broncos 24, Jags 20

Minnesota at Arizona--Kyler Murray sure looked like an MVP last week, didn't he?  Cards 37, Vikings 20

Atlanta at Tampa Bay--Did Julio Jones really make that much of a difference in Atlanta?  Matt Ryan may want to borrow whatever anti-aging shit Tom Brady is taking.  Bucs 42, Falcons 17

Dallas at LA Chargers--The Cowboys looked great last week in almost upsetting the champs, but then the football gods decided to hand them a bunch of injuries and positive covid tests.  Chargers 38, Cowboys 34

Tennessee at Seattle--If the Titans looked that bad against the Cardinals at home, what will they look like with the return of the 12th man in Seattle?  Seahawks 33, Titans 23

Kansas City at Baltimore--If KC can turn on their offensive jets like a light switch, they will wrap up that 1-seed before Christmas.  Chiefs 37, Ravens 28

Detroit at Green Bay--This has to be the Lions' first Monday Night Football appearance this century, right?  And all it took was getting a real QB in Jared Goff, right?  Oh and Packers' fans.....R-E-L-A-X.  No, really.  Packers 37, Lions 10
