Week 13 2020 picks
Last week: 11-5
Season total: 110-67
Things are getting more interesting and more strange with each passing week due to COVID and injuries and upsets and shockers and, well, the NFL season's weirdness has mirrored 2020's. So let's pick some games!
Cleveland at Tennessee--Two teams that are 8-3 and yet still the Browns are not being taken seriously. Also Derrick Henry is heating up in the cold weather just as defenders are less inclined to want to tackle him. Titans 24, Browns 17
Las Vegas at NY Jets--Jon Gruden's Raiders have been one of the most volatile teams as far as trying to predict them week to week. The Jets meanwhile are consistent in that they suck all the time, which takes a true commitment to ineptitude. Raiders 23, Jets 13
Jacksonville at Minnesota--Mike Glennon is starting again for Jax, even with Porn Stache Minshew healthy. I think maybe the tank is on. Vikings 26, Jags 10
Cincinnati at Miami--Skyline chili vs. the Cuban sandwich. I'm craving the latter but my food choices should not determine this pick. Or should it? Dolphins 20, Bengals 17
Indianapolis at Houston--We've reached the Texans' part of the schedule where they are just looking to wreck the playoff hopes of their remaining opponents. Texans 27, Colts 25
Detroit at Chicago--The Bears looked downright dominant the first month of the season, but have had the football version of explosive diarrhea since. Bears 19, Lions 17
New Orleans at Atlanta--Who know Dan Quinn was the problem all along? Falcons 28, Saints 24
NY Giants at Seattle--If Colt McCoy starts for the Giants, my G-men may not score unless it's on defense. At least with a hobbled Daniel Jones they might score 10 points. Seahawks 27, Giants 9
LA Rams at Arizona--I really don't know what to make of these two teams from week to week. And can Cooper Kupp score a touchdown once in a while? Cards 24, Rams 23
New England at LA Chargers--Bill Belichick will try to fluster Justin Herbert but that kid is a special talent. Chargers 30, Patriots 24
Philadelphia at Green Bay--It warms my heart to see the Eagles and Cowboys struggling. Packers 35, Eagles 13
Denver at Kansas City--Please tell me an actual QB will start this game for Denver. It won't change the outcome, but it will eliminate the need for us to watch someone slightly more qualified than me to play quarterback in the NFL. Chiefs 38, Broncos 17
Washington at Pittsburgh--This WFC team is dangerous to a less rested Steelers squad, but I don't think the '72 Dolphins need to put champagne on ice just yet. Steelers 23, WFC 20
Buffalo at San Francisco--Don't look now but a non-Patriots team is very likely to clinch the AFC East in a couple of weeks. Bills 27, Niners 21
Dallas at Baltimore--This game is now being played on Tuesday, as I think this was originally slotted to be played last night. Tuesday is my birthday, Ravens. Don't ruin it by trotting RG3 out there again (it appears Lamar Jackson will start....whew) and giving Dallas hope. Ravens 31, Cowboys 17
