Week 11 2020 picks
Last week: 9-5
Season record: 90-57
I would like to mention that my G-men beat the Eagles last Sunday for the first time in four years. It was glorious, and not only made watching the six(!) late games way more enjoyable, it made watching highlights more enjoyable. It's going to make the bye week more enjoyable, and make the Thanksgiving games more enjoyable. That's how much it means to us Giants fans to beat those pesky Eagles. But it's more than that.....the G-men are 3-7 which is awful. but they started 0-5 and 1-7, and now sit right behind the 3-5-1 Eagles in the NFC East. But enough of my gloating, there are games to pick!
Arizona at Seattle--These are two teams that seem to always make games exciting in the fourth quarter, and this is a rare Thursday nighter with major playoff implications. Seahawks 30, Cards 27
Cincinnati at Washington--On paper this seems like a very evenly matched game, but I think rookie Joe Burrow will struggle against Washington's D. Could Alex Smith finally get that first win in two years? WFC 22, Bengals 21
Atlanta at New Orleans--I saw Drew Brees get hit last Sunday, and he looked extremely uncomfortable coming off the field. Broken ribs has got to be one of the worst types of injury. But hey, Jameis is here! Saints 24, Falcons 17
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville--For a 1-8 team, the Jags sure do have some fight in them. Meanwhile, the Steelers continue to give the '72 Dolphins agita. Steelers 37, Jags 10
New England at Houston--Just when you think Belichick may have only looked brilliant because of Tom Brady, he beats the Ravens convincingly. Patriots 21, Texans 16
Philadelphia at Cleveland--I keep thinking this might be a trap game for the Browns, but then I remember how awful the Eagles have looked. Browns 27, Eagles 24
Detroit at Carolina--Man, Teddy Bridgewater is a hell of a QB and it's good that he's finally getting a chance to show that. Panthers 26, Lions 20
Tennessee at Baltimore--These two teams were flashing "elite" on their helmets early in the season, but now the light has flickered and faded for both. Wow, that is a shitty analogy. Ravens 28, Titans 25
NY Jets at LA Chargers--The Jets need to keep the Jags at arm's length if they want that #1 pick, so they had better lose this one. Chargers 20, Jets 10
Miami at Denver--Tua and the fact Tom Brady is no longer in the division has Miami buzzing about football for the first time in a long time. Dolphins 19, Broncos 16
Dallas at Minnesota--Dallas had so much promise out of the gate, then Dak broke his leg and I don't think I have ever seen a season get flushed down the toilet quicker for any team than this one. The Vikings have been the opposite, being 1-5 and then reeling off three straight wins. Vikings 34, Cowboys 17
Green Bay at Indianapolis--Remember how the Eagles won the Super Bowl and Doug Pederson was a football genius? I think two people contributed more to that championship than anyone--Nick Foles, and Frank Reich. Colts 29, Packers 27
Kansas City at Las Vegas--The mighty defending champs have only one loss this season, and it was at home to these Raiders. Can Chuckie pull off a season sweep? I doubt it. Chiefs 38, Raiders 33
LA Rams at Tampa Bay--Oooh, this one has a playoff feel to it. Bucs 24, Rams 20
