Week 8 2020 picks

Season record: 63-43

Here we go into Week 8......

Pittsburgh at Baltimore--This is the game I always associate with pain.  The pain of watching two physical teams beat the shit out of each other in a close game and war of attrition.  Or maybe it's the pain of having to watch a game that will inevitably wind up 16-13.  Well, that was 5 years ago maybe.  These two still have great defenses, and the Steelers' D might be better this year.  Big Ben has carried Pittsburgh to an undefeated start, while the Ravens have one blemish--they lost to the reigning champion Chiefs.  Anyway, until the Steelers lose one, I'm not picking against them.  Steelers 27, Ravens 25

LA Rams at Miami--Is this the game Tua makes his debut?  Does anyone feel bad for the Beard?  Oh and Rams, where the hell has Cooper Kupp been besides rotting from the inside on my fantasy team?  Rams 20, Dolphins 17

NY Jets at Kansas City--In my pick 'em league, they show the percentages of everyone's picks in the Yahoo universe, and the Chiefs had something like 99.7%.  Which means the Jets were at 0.3%.  And my only thought was, who the fuck picked the Jets to win this game?  Those people actually exist.  Chiefs 30, Jets 6

Minnesota at Green Bay--With the crazy spike in Covid cases in the Green Bay area, I'm surprised they aren't playing this game at Disney World like the NBA.  Packers 28, Vikings 17

Indianapolis at Detroit--Are the Colts as sneaky good as I think they are?  Colts 23, Lions 19

Las Vegas at Cleveland--After Odell got hurt last week, Baker Mayfield seemed to wake from a slumber and will the Browns to victory.  I don't know what to make of that.  But he's out for the season so we'll all know what to make of it shortly.  Browns 27, Raiders 22

Tennessee at Cincinnati--The Titans should maybe try not spotting the other team a 20 point lead before coming to life.  I have Kyler Murray on bye this week so Joe Burrow is my QB.  So expect him to have 90 yards passing and 3 picks.  Titans 28, Bengals 24

New England at Buffalo--It must suck to be Bill Belichick right now.  Everyone is noticing that while his team slips into obscurity, Tom Brady has the Bucs talking Super Bowl.  Yikes.  Bills 30, Patriots 17

LA Chargers at Denver--There are just three games in the late window and I'm not sure I'm excited about any of them.  Not that Roger Goodell gives a shit about what I think.  Broncos 19, Chargers 17

San Francisco at Seattle--Okay maybe I take back what I just said.  Seahawks 26, Niners 24

New Orleans at Chicago--Let's see if the Bears can bounce back from a rare 2020 loss.  Bears 24, Saints 19

Dallas at Philadelphia--I think the Eagles just need to beat up on the rest of the division, take their 6 wins into the postseason and get destroyed in the first round by Seattle or Green Bay.  I'm a Giants fan and that last part makes me feel somewhat giddy inside.  Eagles 35, Cowboys 17

Tampa Bay at NY Giants--Oh God, let this be the last time I have to endure the humiliation of the Giants getting blown out in prime time this season.  Bucs 27, Giants 3
