Week 7 2020 picks
Season record: 57-35
Week 7 is here, and it started with the Giants positively blowing a game they had in the W column. I'm happy I got my pick right, but as a fan of Big Blue it's just getting old watching them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory year after year. I think we are paying a cosmic price for the Tyree and Manningham catches from Eli Manning or something. But I digress. Since my team already played, I can watch 6-7 hours of Red Zone tomorrow. Oh yeah, bring it on. BTW it was good to hear that Andrew Siciliano will be back at the Red Zone helm tomorrow. Dan Hellie did fine but you don't notice how good something is until it's not there--and that was surely the case with Andrew. Welcome back!
Pittsburgh at Tennessee--There are three teams that are undefeated and two of them are playing in this one. It's hard to say if this will be high scoring or low scoring but I do think overall that I trust the Steelers just a bit more. Steelers 27, Titans 26
Dallas at Washington--Oh boy. The Cowboys' nosedive without Dak last Monday was kind of noticeable. But this Washington team lost to the Giants. I guess I'll go with the home team. WFC 20, Cowboys 16
Buffalo at NY Jets--I said the other day that I think the Jets are as bad as the expansion era Tampa Bay Bucs from 1976 that lost every game. The Jets are averaging 12 points per game, but I just looked and that Bucs team averaged just under 9 points a game. Yikes. Bills 31, Jets 7
Carolina at New Orleans--In a most messed up year, these two teams are about as hard to figure out as any team. Panthers 23, Saints 20
Green Bay at Houston--The Pack was embarrassed in Tampa last Sunday, so they will likely take it out on Romeo Crennel's Texans. Packers 27, Texans 20
Cleveland at Cincinnati--Man, just when it looks like the Browns are turning a corner toward respectability.....Bengals 31, Browns 24
Detroit at Atlanta--Oh hell if I know (that's the prognosticator's creed)....Falcons 26, Lions 24
Tampa Bay at Las Vegas--Does seeing these two cities give you the feeling of USFL or Arena League? I know the Bucs are on a roll now but I'm going with Jon Gruden's gut...I mean my gut, here. Oh wait, is Antonio Brown suiting up? Nope, still going with this....Raiders 30, Bucs 27
Jacksonville at LA Chargers--Does anyone else get the feeling that Justin Herbert is gonna be a stud in this league? Chargers 22, Jags 16
San Francisco at New England--The Broncos beat New England last week, and the Niners looked more like the team that got to the Super Bowl than they have so far this season. And that means nothing. Patriots 27, Niners 25
Kansas City at Denver--Pat Mahomes got a taste of losing a couple weeks ago, and I don't think he liked it very much. Chiefs 24, Broncos 20
Seattle at Arizona--Oh man, this is gonna be a good one. Seahawks 40, Cards 37
Chicago at LA Rams--I feel like every week the Bears will come down to earth and then they prove me wrong. So I will pick them to win until they don't. Bears 21, Rams 19
