Week 17 picks

Last week: 10-6
Season record: 147-93-1

We've reached the dreaded final weekend of the NFL regular season, which seems inexplicable despite the fact that we say that every season.  Here are the picks in the free-for-all that is having 16 games in one day.....

Atlanta at Tampa Bay--Of all the story lines this season, the one of Dan Quinn likely retaining his job after such a dreadful start is one of the most shocking.  Bucs 24, Falcons 21

Miami at New England--I read somewhere today that Tom Brady is considering retirement after this season, but does anyone doubt he will play until he's 50?  Pats 30, Dolphins 13

Chicago at Minnesota--The Vikings I believe are locked into the 6-seed, so while there isn't as much to play for it's hard to imagine Mike Zimmer allowing his team to coast into Wild Card Weekend.  Vikings 23, Bears 14

LA Chargers at Kansas City--Does anyone remember how dominant the Chargers were in the wild card round last year when they shocked Baltimore with stifling defense?  They got smoked by New England the week after that and haven't been the same since.  Chiefs 31, Chargers 20

Green Bay at Detroit--Maybe Mike McCarthy was the problem all along?  Packers 34, Lions 10

Cleveland at Cincinnati--Did Odell peak his first season in the NFL?  Bengals 19, Browns 17

New Orleans at Carolina--There has been a shift in power from the AFC to the NFC since a few seasons ago.  I know this because the Saints will likely go into the playoffs with a 13-3 record and the THREE seed.  Saints 38, Panthers 17

NY Jets at Buffalo--Another shocking 2019 story line--the Jets actually have 6 wins.  Bills 21, Jets 17

Arizona at LA Rams--Saints fans are no doubt feeling like karma got the best of the Rams this time around.  It won't wash the bitterness away of one of the shittiest non calls of PI in NFL history, but it's some consolation.  Rams 23, Cards 20

Oakland at Denver--The Raiders hang on to microscopic playoff hopes but I think Denver puts them out of their misery.  Broncos 22, Raiders 19

Philadelphia at NY Giants--Now that the Giants have sufficiently bungled their shot at Chase Young, they may as well end their 2019 season by knocking out their hated division rivals from the playoffs so that their other hated division rival can get into the playoffs.  Eagles 35, Giants 21

Indianapolis at Jacksonville--This division in particular is confounding to pick games for.  Colts 31, Jags 16

Tennessee at Houston--The Texans have won the division but you have to imagine they want to build momentum by sticking it to their division foes.  Texans 28, Titans 23

Washington at Dallas--It's incredible to think how far Dallas has fallen since a promising start to the season, but to think they need the Giants to rescue them this weekend in order to stumble into January cannot feel very good.  Cowboys 24, Skins 20

Pittsburgh at Baltimore--The Ravens may have the top seed locked up but won't rest until they have a hand in eliminating their longtime rivals.  Ravens 44, Steelers 16

San Francisco at Seattle--Not only is this a thrilling SNF match up to decide the NFC West title, the Marshawn Lynch factor has to have NBC execs shitting themselves with glee.  Seahawks 23, Niners 22
