Week 14 picks
Last week: 7-9
Season record: 117-75-1
I was starting to get cocky the past few weeks but was slapped back to reality last weekend when there were some inexplicable upsets. We are getting some clarity on the postseason but still there are so many questions that need answers. So giddyup!
Dallas at Chicago--The Bears have climbed back to .500 and the Cowboys have dropped to .500 after a humiliating home defeat to Buffalo on Thanksgiving. Hell if I know what's going to happen here. Cowboys 24, Bears 17
Indianapolis at Tampa Bay--Do you realize that if Matthew Gay didn't go wide right on a chip shot against the Giants in Week 3, the Bucs would be 6-6? Yet they always look terrible. So of course I'm picking them. Bucs 27, Colts 26
Miami at NY Jets--Uhhhhhhh. I'm calling an audible. Or something. Jets 19, Dolphins 16
San Francisco at New Orleans--A possible preview of the NFC title game, and for the second straight week we get the Niners in a 1pm ET game. Does that mean no Joe Buck? Probably not. Saints 22, Niners 19
Detroit at Minnesota--The Vikings sure have come alive lately. But how far can Kirk Cousins really take a team? Vikings 31, Lions 13
Denver at Houston--Has JJ Watt ever played a full season? Texans 23, Broncos 16
Washington at Green Bay--I wonder if Jay Gruden and Mike McCarthy will be hanging out together watching their former teams square off. Packers 27, Skins 10
Cincinnati at Cleveland--It sure didn't take long for the OBJ wanting out news to start spewing out as the Browns' playoff hopes slip away. Browns 20, Bengals 14
Baltimore at Buffalo--The Ravens appear to be the best team in the NFL. And while I so badly want to pick an upset here, I just can't see Buffalo shutting down Lamar Jackson. Ravens 28, Bills 20
Carolina at Atlanta--Would you have predicted a month ago that Ron Rivera would be fired and not Dan Quinn? Falcons 23, Panthers 20
LA Chargers at Jacksonville--The Underachievement Bowl of the week. Chargers 19, Jags 17
Tennessee at Oakland--This one is a potential great game, based on how each team is hanging on to their respective playoff hopes. Raiders 27, Titans 24
Kansas City at New England--You have to wonder if Andy Reid has what it takes to beat the Patriots, and what happens if they lose this one to their own confidence. Pats 30, Chiefs 28
Pittsburgh at Arizona--To endure so many shit storms, for Mike Tomlin to have the Steelers at 7-5 and in the wild card hunt really says a lot about how great a coach he is. Steelers 20, Cards 16
Seattle at LA Rams--If my math is right, the Rams can knock themselves out of contention for the division title with a loss here, right? Rams 27, Seahawks 24
NY Giants at Philadelphia--It's looking like Eli Manning will return to what has been a house of horrors for him. At least the G-men are more and more likely to get a top 3 draft pick again. Eagles 38, Giants 14
