Week 15 picks
Last week: 10-6
Season record: 136-69-2
Okay so the Chargers' incredible come-from-behind victory in KC the other night has this guy starting at 0-1 for Week 15. That also throws another wrench into the power rankings, as it seems like every time we see one or two teams look elite and unbeatable, someone beats them. Which means the playoffs are gonna be absolutely nuts. But first......we have two Saturday games, always a December NFL treat especially since the college bowl season usually starts around now with the Meineke Bowl or Krispy Kreme Bowl or Goody's Headache Powder Bowl. So let's get to it.....
Houston at NY Jets--I am struggling with this pick. The Colts broke the Texans' winning streak last Sunday and the Jets beat the Bills on the road. I honestly feel like this could go Gang Green's way but on the other hand.....Texans 20, Jets 16
Cleveland at Denver--This has the potential to be a very low scoring game. The Browns have won 5 games already, something that feels like it hasn't happened in 20 years...but I don't think they reach 6 tonight. Broncos 13, Browns 10
Arizona at Atlanta--Phoenix and Atlanta are two cities already looking ahead to baseball season. Falcons 27, Cards 9
Tampa Bay at Baltimore--The Ravens have given up the fewest points in the NFL this season, under 19 per game. The Bucs are third-worst in that department, giving up almost 30 points per game. Ravens 31, Bucs 16
Detroit at Buffalo--Apparently these two teams are back to being bottom dwellers in the NFL. Bills 23, Lions 20
Green Bay at Chicago--The Bears can clinch the NFC North with a win, and the Packers come in on playoff life support to face this defense that has shown flashes of 1985. Bears 27, Packers 17
Oakland at Cincinnati--This is your weekly reminder that Marvin Lewis is still employed by the Bengals. Bengals 21, Raiders 17
Dallas at Indianapolis--This could be a really good game. And I feel like whichever way I pick, I will be wrong. Should I predict a tie? Nah. Colts 24, Cowboys 23
Washington at Jacksonville--These two teams looked like legit playoff teams a few weeks ago. The Skins now look like last year's Browns. Jags 20, Skins 10
Miami at Minnesota--Ah, a Super Bowl 8 rematch. Also a match up between teams winning in miraculous fashion on the last play of the game eleven months apart. Vikings 26, Dolphins 20
Tennessee at NY Giants--I really would not normally pick my Giants in a game like this, but they have looked very respectable lately, winning four out of their last five. The Titans are 2-5 on the road, and if the Giants can slow their vaunted run game, I don't think Mariota can beat them in New Jersey. Giants 27, Titans 24
Seattle at San Francisco--Oh goodie, Goodell. This is one of TWO late window games. There are two Saturday games, but for some odd reason the NFL has once again decided we need nine games early and just two late tomorrow. Seahawks 19, Niners 16
New England at Pittsburgh--Well at least one of the two late games is a doozy. Steelers 37, Pats 34
Philadelphia at LA Rams--The Eagles are one loss away from being eliminated from NFC East contention. I love it, but am stunned that it's come to this. They just don't look the same. Rams 34, Eagles 27
New Orleans at Carolina--The Panthers are another team that has just faded into oblivion and are just about out of contention, while the Saints are likely to be the 1 or 2 seed in the NFC. Saints 31, Panthers 23
